| Cosworth uses low impedance injectors. That can be a problem with Megasquirt, its not designed för low impedance så there are two options. Mount resistors in serie with each injector or get hold of high impedance injectors
For 240hp you need 350-400 cc/min I´m not sure what the colors on the cosworth injectors stand for.

| Yes i have tested that and it worked fairly well Sadly it´s not possible to use a intercooler, i guess it will be a problem with detonations above 0.5bar. If you want to use more boost you will need some kind of waterinjection | |

Thanks You need a turbo with carbon seal. Not easy to get hold on, some turbos can be rebuild but elsewere you need to find a turbo that whas fittet to a car with suck through. Look for pistons from a cosworth, with orginal rods you get compression around 7,5-1 with cosworthrods somewere around 8,6-1. I recommend a singel weber DCOE 40 or 45

| And what about the camshasft? I would like to use a specific cam for Pinto Turbo engines, but I have only found two sites that build it, and any of them reply my messages. One of them is ColtecRacing http://www.coltecracing.com/camshafts.html#pintoCould anybody help me to find a good cam?? | |

Could anybody help me to find a good cam?? Why would you want a turbocam? It´s for silly people who want a boring engine. A ordinary camshaft for tuned engines without turbo works fine on a turbo engine. So buy one thats for street use (often called "fast road").

| Mmmm... Well, I don't know, I thoght that a specificic cam could be better. Whar is the difference in final result? Why do you say "boring engine"?
What about this one? Description: KENT CAMS FAST ROAD CAMSHAFT: SOHC PINTO INJECTION

Other Info: 1000-6250rpm .499" LIFT 263deg TIMING 110deg .008"/.010" CLEARANCE The difference betwen a turbocam and a ordinary is the overlapp, a turbocam have less overlapp, the meaning with this is to have boost earlier. But will result in a engine that lose some att higher rpm Here in sweden we prefer to build a powerfull naturally aspirated engine and just lower the compression. Look at my simply but not entirely correct calculation 100hk before, 1bar of boost = 200hk 120hk before, 1bar of boost = 240hk 120hk before, 0.7bar of boost = 200hk The camshaft you ask about feels a bit close to orginal. around 280 deg and 11-12mm lift will get a nicer engine

| Will detonation still occur if I lower the compression ratio and Up the boost? KENT CAMS FAST ROAD CAMSHAFT: SOHC PINTO (CARB) 2500-7000rpm .442" LIFT 285/280deg TIMING 108deg .010"/.012" CLEARANCE Would that be a suitable camshaft to use ? | |

Lower the compression is a way to avoid detonation. But to low compression will make the engine weak at low rpm. Fuel with higher octane is another I suggest you mount a water injection system on a suction turbo system. Infact thats even better than having a intercooler. The camshaft you listed should work just fine

We use standard cooling system

| Yes it is. From a renault GT 5 turbo. As well as the turbo - GT25. We dont know how it will perform, so the whole project is in jeopardi at the moment , but i was hired to make the parts fit, not my problem if it wont start because of this setup. We purchase some diffrent sizes of jets for him from a Friend who owns a GT5, to make the tuninig as accurate as possible. i will post more pics when we will have some more progress. We are also planing to lock the DIF',lower the car and do some reinforcing on the old chasis...
