| Hello, from Estonia! Have read alot about pinto conversions and so, but don't know much about this, wich turbo to use? I got 1 Holset HX35 at home, is it too big for 2.0 IS engine? (I would like to put turbo on it in cheap way, no MS, just extra fuel injectors with pressure switch and so). Would be good if somone can tell me about HX35, what are the good and bad things, to put it on pinto. And also u can tell wich turbo's ur using on pinto's Thanks! | |

| It will work no question about that, just not sure about what rpm you get full boost
And you already got it, and its capable of many Hp

It's just, im not building a drag race car, so I dont want too much Hp, just like 200-250Hp. And yea, I dont even know, when I put it on this engine, what rpm that HX35 starts to spool(work), when it starts like 3500-4000 rpm, than it kinda sucks, cause before that 3500-4000 that car won't move at all -.- I would go for 0,6-0,8 bar, not more, cause I have stock engine(new stuff inside engine, but STD) Don't know what to do. To build it up, and just try, or easier to find another turbo | |

| Ok! There are many turbo to choose from.
I would look for a Mitsubishi turbocharger like a Td04.
Most common modells of td04
T15 - 280Hp T16 - 310Hp T19 - 360Hp
Numbers are just a guideline to what they are capable of producing.
Very common on many factory turbo cars.

| Hello, the Compressor Side seems to be good, but the exhaust side could be a bit too big. I use this turbo for my pinto: http://www.turbo-parts.de/Turbolader/Turbolader-GTR-25-GT25-GT2560-320PS-T25-Wastegate-42A-R-49A-R-360-GRAD-Renngelager::617.htmlIt is a GT2560R (no original garret) but it works very great! build for race use, build and balanced in germany. have a very good quality. only the housings come from china. For me the GT2560R is very very good. Great throttle response and no turbo lag ! Starts spooling at 2000rpm and max boost from 3000rpm in 3th gear. I think that your turbo will work good but could spool a little bit slower. TD04 is also a good choise as drzero said before. regards, Erik | |
