| Hello for everyone! I am 20 year old boy from Finland and im going to share my project with you, because there seems to be a lot of knowledge about ford engines etc. But now, lets cut the bullshit. The car, 2 years ago. Before the 2.0 ohc broke down This is what it looks today. And some specs. Engine: 2.9L 24v cosworth V6 Pistons?? Con rods?? Cams?? Megasquirt?? Head is going to be "ported" and valves fixed Lysholm 1600AX Supercharger Powertrain: MonsterTransmissions 4L60E transmission with manual valvebody ( +600hp ) MonsterTransmissions Stage 2 3800 Stall Torqueconverter TCI EZ-TransmissionControlUnit Quaife Diff Chassis: Widened rear inner "fenders"? 12" wide wheel can dive in. More luxorious added with electric sunroof, windows, back boot opener and central locking. Gasoline flap remowed and located under rear plate atm. Brakes: Front: Wilwood 4 or 6 piston calipers Wilwood 340mm Rotors with custommade hub Rear: Wilwood or Scorpio cosworth rear calipers Scorpio cosworth front discs Maybe some bigger main brake cylinder Suspension: Spax krypton series adjustable shocks Spax lowering springs cutted to right length Front shocks lowered few cents Rear shock upper mount lifted 15cm Alle the bushings are powerflex or homemade polyurethane. Exept front axle mount, there is iron. I will write more today. Hope you like. And post links where to get good parts to my engine. Few pics: Front bushings. Rear fitment. | Why not? Transmission has manual valvebody also, so it can be "driven like manual", this is not a track car, just a summerday cruiser | |

As long as you run with E85 you can go with the standard BOA pistons. If you are going to run with petrol, just lathe your pistons down to 9,0:1 and you are good to go! | |

The engine block can take it. The BOA and BOB is strengthen. What you need to do is to o-ring the block to keep the head gaskets from blowing. 2 bar should not be a problem with strengthen bottom. My 2,9l 12v have 535BHP and 745BNM @ 1.45bar and that is the most powerful 12v what we know of. There is a guy called "Raven" from Denmark that have built a BOB with around 900bhp, but i have not seen any papers on it so it might be a lot lesser. He can build nice though. How have you done the "flamering" to the block? What material? etc.. Not sure what he used, but it's not standard stuffs. My wire o ring is actually on the heads on my 12v since they are in cast metal, it works great! Here is how you do it!On the BOA and BOB you have to do it on the engine block. Same procedure though. | Yeah, i will, just like that color so much, hard to see dirt etc from that color, looks still good in pictures but in real that paint surface is bad. Maybe tomorrow going to sandblast a bit. What do you think should i weld those original body joints for extra strenght? Like in A, B, C pillars? if you know what i mean | |
