vet ej vad laddet var på men känndes inte så mkt skillnad är något som bromsar upp motorn rejält vet ej vad det kan vara men finns många faktorer som det skulle kunna vara problemet

Finns två enkla lösningar på detta. Prova en fetare turbo funkar inte det så har jag en orginalmotor som står som jag tänkte prova.

Turbon isig klarar 750-800 hk så det är endast avgashuset som ev kan vara större.

Känns den slöare än 2,9:an ?

Eller är det så att med över 1 liter mer så borde den vara mer tillfredställande ?.

Bilen såg ju brutal ut när den rulla fram till startlinjen!
nästan som den skulle haft fallskärm hängades ibak

Kul att allt lirar 100% med chassi i alla fall, det har blivit mycket ombyggnationer!
Som du har slitit med den! sjukt bra jobbat!!

Jag tror på större avgashus, tyckte de såg litet ut när jag tittade på på ditt bygge.

im from estonia and therefor dont speak much swedish, so i`ll put it in english...
first of all...GREAT TAUNUS!!! as i am a taunus fan myself then this here is such a treat for me!
i`ve seen your videos and must say....whatta gearheads you guys must be! respect on thatone! keep up the good work!love to watch your projects!
anyway...wanted to ask you about the tranny of your taunus? what gearbox do u use? and does cologne v6 tranny fits to the explorer 4.0 v6 straight up or is it a no no?

as im not planning on turbocharging this 4.0 i`d think that regular mt75 tranny from lets say...scorpio 2.8-2.9v6 would work fine on thisone.
but the question still remains- does it fit one on one to the 4.0 block? do you know???
sorry to bother u, but so far you`re the onlyones i know who had done such a thing as put the explorer into taunus!

Yes, the MT75 from the 29er will work, it fits right away. The 40 engine block is a couple of centimeters higher than the 29er, it also has bigger bore (7mm bigger) and the camshaft got bigger bearing but thats almost the only thing that is changed.

Some people will probably not recommend you to turbo charge the 40 due to the lack of durability, but i think why not. It is not the most efficient engine, but you will have great torque and with 300hp you will have a great time! Find a good engine to start with and the durability will be good.

The heads on that engine is just crap. You will never get any real power from them.

I totally agree, a 29er will do the work and do it even better than the 40...

hmm...damn,thats not what i expected to hear...i mean read!
especially since you`ve done it with your taunus and by the looks of it you`ve buried a lot of time and money into it!
also u`ve got a decent quarter mile drag time to show with 11.7 secons! thats amazing! those kind of numbers dont just pop up like that! but ok, thats that.
can u tell me,just out of curiosety, what`s the matter with those heads then?
i mean..how differently bad are they compared to 2.9 heads then, if that engine is better as u say?
i know my 2.8v6 is a crap just because its got two exit ports for three cilinders! whatta mishap!
