Scottish drift Capri

The actual build of the car has become such a big project that the engine is now quite a minor detail! If the twin turbo idea (or even the Cologne idea) doesn't work we'll probably just fit something else....

It will work! If we can, then you can also!

Pros for the Cologne 2,9er vs other 6 cylinder engines is that it's light, compact and you can get massive power without putting all your bank savings into it and best of all, its very durable and can take massive beating!
Me myself run a 24h race with a turboed 2.9er in a Scorpio (Granada), with a maximum of 2 hours continuous driving around the track and it was not even begging for mercy. It just kept going!

I like to give a bit of abuse

What boost do you expect to run at?
Iv`e done, easy 5000 km on 1,2 bar on a bonestock engine!

It tends to bluesmoke sometimes, other than that it still runs great !

Give it all the abuse you can

It will!

323whp @ 1.05bar and a GT40 so two smaller turbos should do the same trick!

There you have a heavy 2.9er drift Sierra, just read and play the same/similar cards and you will do good!

I've also ordered a very special bodykit for the Capri with some full on 70s retro flavour. ETA is mid January for its arrival.

Will look pretty much the same as these old racers, but I'll be running the Mk3 wings, bonnet and round lights instead.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but the Capri is progressing nicely!
The Classic Ford show at Santa Pod is the planned first day for the Capri.

Been offered a new cheap 4.0 Cologne. I know these have been tested by some, but how did they perform? What are the problems with them?
