| The pistons and the gaskets are weak points. The pistons works now on my engine when i got rid of my overheating problem but the gaskets don´t like 1.3bar to long.
1.1bar on stock engine works just fine | |

| Cool, thinking of running 1bar on two T3 turbos.... should do at least 300bhp?
Are you still running standard pistons now? Is there anywhere who sells uprated pistons or gaskets? | |

| Yes thats possible. Im still running stock pistons but are in the serch for some better, don´t know of any better gaskets | |

| The kit I'm getting has a pair of T2 turbos.... I am considering maybe swapping to a pair of T28s or even one T28 and one T2.
I did think a pair of T3s at first, but these will probably be a different flange fitment. Think the Nissan 200sx style T28 is the same T2 fitment and very common/cheap. Also one big and one small may be good for a speedy spool up of the turbos? | |

| Uncertein about the T2 but i think 200hp each so they are a bit small. Two T25 would work better Dont mix turbos, it will genereate unbalance. And i still think you should get hold of one mighty turbo, its much easyier to fix the piping | |

| t25 from the 200sx ca18det ~250hp max 1,2bar of boost or they won't hold for long.
t28 from sr20det s14 ~300hp 1,5bar of boost max i think. But thats on the small 4cylinder engine. | |

| I would love a big single turbo but the costs I have been quoted for a custom manifold make this too expensive Maybe sometime at a later date..... I've also committed to buying the twin turbo set up, so I may as well make the most of it..... think a pair of T28s sound like the best idea, I will look into sourcing them.... | |

| When converting to Megasquirt, can you control the ignition advance/retard even though the engine is running a distributor?
I thought maybe you would need a more modern coilpack system without a distributor to successfully map the ignition? | |

My tuner who will set this car up prefers it to Megasquirt. But it is about £1000 in total!!! | |
