| Since I get a Slight knock at around 6 PSI when I run 87 Octane. Decided to build a Meth injection setup. Ordered a couple mist nozzles and everything else I have just laying around. Reservoir is a cut in half gen 2 unit. Using the rad overflow section because I don't need an internal pump to stopper the gigantic hole. Also it should last me quite some time as I'm only injecting at 6PSI. Pump is a washer fluid pump from a 80's Datsun 280. It had the headlight squirter's as well as wiper squirters so the pump has some flow. Now the fun stuff. since there is vacuum and just the air going past the nozzle will give a venturi effect and would essentially just empty the reservoir under normal driving. Check valve issue is it would not work as it requires flow to open and with both vacuum and boost at the head of the nozzle it would counter act. So I need a solenoid. What's handy that delivers fluid but also triggers an electrical solenoid to open it. Also acts as a check valve. An injector will do! The squirter is a basic Mist nozzle. 1.6 Gal/H @50 PSI. Can kinda see the spray pattern. I have a couple Hobb switches. So I'll use one to trigger a relay that turns on the pump and injector. Also for a filter I'll likely get an inline gravity fuel filter. If I can inject at about 5-8 PSI and keep the knock down then running 87 fuel isn't an issue. There is no knock if I use 91. | |

| Adjusted my Blowoff valve as I was sure I was loosing boost through it. It's now working properly and had to lower the boost. Getting octane nock running 87 octane fuel. It doesn't with 91 octane but at nearly $6/gal it get's expensive quick. So I am working on a Methanol injection system. Have nearly everything ready to go. Just need to mount the tank and preposition the pump. Well on my way to killing another pair of tires and just at 5 PSI. Got a new pair of front tires. Noticed a bald spot forming on one of the old ones, and the steering wheel was vibrating quite a bit. Ground new whitewalls and mounted them up. Truck all cleaned up. If I have time I will finish off the old front tires this weekend. I will try to get video and pictures. | |

| Not much has changed. Been daily driving it. It's a handfull in the snow to say the least.
The stock clutch was having a hard time holding the extra power, and it was slipping pretty bad. I picked up a new XTR stage 2 clutch kit, (6 puck) on a parts trade. Since installing it it has been fantastic but the slave cylinder is leaking. requires gearbox removal to replace it. I've already replaced the master cylinder. Have a new slave, just waiting for the right time to get it put in.
The methanol pump I was using was leaking faster than I could inject, so I pulled it out and replaced it with a CoolingMist pump. Works much better now.
Replaced the headlights for a pair of H4 conversion lamps. Took a stone to one of the old lenses and finally got around to replacing them.
Put my winter tires on, and have been driving the piss out of it.
Since the temps have been getting cooler, its hard to keep engine temperatures up. Not that it's a bad thing but it can get pretty cold in the cab. Have a feeling the thermostat is stuck. I've put a piece of cardboard over the radiator but getting the cutouts just right is not easy. I have a new 198° thermostat that I just need to find the time to install.
On the lookout for some 15 x 10 wheels for the back. I have some wheels that I can cut and widen but if I can find some that are already 10" wide then I can just have the centers relocated to fit under my truck.
Likely to take it to the strip this coming spring just to see what it's got in her. Chassis Dyno session is about $200/hour, so that's kinda out unless I can get on for much less. Not looking to fine tune so just want a couple runs to get output average, to see how much over stock output.

| Great job with this, it's great that it works so good and have the durability!
Regarding the dyno session, keep your eyes open for a dyno day because that is much cheeper. Also you can try to talk to the dyno owner, 3 pulls should be cheeper. $200 sounds like tuning included.
It would be nice to see some more vid on it and how it sounds! Crilles 4.0 turbo sounded really angry and heavy. Maybe it will be some vid when you run down the strip?

| Durability was what I was after. The original setup had the potential but being my first setup there was a learning curve.
It's a cheap setup, using the basics. Parts that are known to work. It's by far not optimized, and hasn't reached is full potential or max limits. I didn't set out to do that. Wanted a bit more power, not more than 10 PSI, and be fun to drive.
No one is ever around when I want to take videos.
Next spring for sure I'll have some.
