| Öbbe, are you really sure that the "B234" was released at all? I thought it only was the "B204" which is the 2L engine with 16v (very common in Italy since they had some insurance/tax thing for engines bigger than 2L). I thought that the B234 was a made up word for combining a 2.3L B23/B230 block with 16v head from a B204. In that car you got a Volvo White engine (5 cylinder) so its not the same. Cost of engine i reckon will be 100K, at least! The work on that one is massive and many hours spent to build it. EDIT: I saw now that the B234 and B204 was released 1988 in the "GLT 16 Valve" versions. I must have mixed it with the turbo version, the B204GT which only was released in a 2L version. | 740 glt, seem to be lacking in england. ha. found loads of 850 glt but they are 5 clyinder. does these engines provide good amounts of torque the b234? more or less that a ford v6?
grey where are you from? sweden? and did you view the vids i sent you?

cheers lads I'm from Sweden, living in Stockholm... ah well, outside. Wouldn't want to live inside Stockholm. I saw one vid with the XR4x4 and Eaton charger. Looks nice, but I'm looking for more presentation vids where they show the enginebay and so on (Like most Skogenracing vids). I would say that the B234 got lesser torque compared to any cologne from the same age and forward. The Volvo B234F got 159 hp / 210 Nm The Ford BRD/BRE/BRF got 145 hp / 226 Nm (2,9 12v) The Ford BOA got 195 hp / 275 Nm (2,9 24v) The Ford BOB got 206 hp / 280 Nm (2,9 24v) The Ford X got 160 hp / 305 Nm (4,0 12v) The Ford E got 210 hp / 332 Nm (4,0 24v) | |

| The Volvo that actually started (!) this thread is currently undergoing some serious modification. It will get a supercharger from a Jaguar V8 and a GT40 or GT42 turbo. The block has been sleeved and he has custom rods and pistons . I've seen the block and pistons already and it looks pretty serious.

| Argh, "supercharger from a Jaguar V8 and a GT40 or GT42 turbo". If i would have built something like that, i would have taken a smaller supercharger and a big turbo. Then to get the same hp as with a big supercharger, i would have tried to build the same function as a AC compressor, but instead of boosting all the time it should activate when the engine is on low RPM, and then disabled when the turbo is taking over. When doing like that, you can rev the supercharger to deliver max when the turbo is spooling up (i.e. 4000rpm), and then deactivate the charger so that the revs won't damage it. I really don't understand why they build something with that setup. If the supercharger is a Eaton M122, it will be good for 600hp, and a GT40 is also good for 600hp, so what is the benefits with both? It's probably only for show... | |

| thanks for the info guys, in car on the vid at the start is sick, but grey think you've got a point. i mean really you want a SC that boost up to like 200bhp and 4000rpm and the your turbo can take over and boost up to 1000 bhp, that type of thing.
it did look awesome though,
