Here is the build about my 4.0L build. This was my first build and it was done to shut my Brother-inlaw up. He was always on my case to turbo something so I asked him if he gave me a turbo I would do it. The next day he pulled a T3/T4 that he had on the shelf from his toy Datsun 280ZX.
The engine was leaking coolant and I had bought a engine seal kit just to freshen it up.

Good Time to install a New clutch.

Time to connect downpipe.
Switch to the intake pipes.
Cut up an expensive mandrel U bend I got.

High pressure side.

Back out one last time.
Ypipe and down pipe connected.
Intake pipes Connected and painted.
Decided on installing a blowoff valve
Connected, out put goes right back into turbo.
Muffler installed
Boost guage mounted.

Some of the pictures are not in order.
I had done all the build work before I pulled the engine out to replace the gaskets and seals.
Here are some of the videos.
Start up
First of the drives, starting to increase the boost.
First off road trip at 6 PSI but fried the fuse for the electric fan and it was overheating.
Taking it easy and Overpowered the new clutch.
Then got stuck and needed a tug from a friend.

Now for the FAIL part.
With it overheating and having a small turbo for such a big engine. The failures were the oil return line from the turbo had an S bend in it and after warming up the rubber it kinked and was flooding the turbo with oil past the seals. Also with the repeaded beatings and a couple overheat times I cracked one of the heads. I was leaking coolant into #1 piston. Along with the burning oil it was not fantastic.
So i pulled it all off and have gone back to a stock engine. All the parts have been sitting in my shop ever since and I don't plan to have it continue sitting there. Now comes the new project.

Nice And you really need to change to a bigger turbo to make the engine breath like it should

In time. I will upgrade to 2 turbos that are the same. One on each side.

that some nice engine did you got some trouble with the engine anytime??
did you just use the engine as it was no working on it ??
your experiense of this type of build ups i started to do my engine as you but i wanna do it with more workout

I didn't have any form of extra fuel to the engine under boost so it was running lean and was getting very hot. Over 240°F a couple times. Only running 3 PSI
I do plan to revive this project. I have all the parts just need to get the time to get it all together.
Have a Vortech FMU 12:1 (and 10:1 kit if I need) Already have a 255 LpH fuel pump. Intercooler, just need some plumbing pieces. Plan to redo the oil return line as hardline Vs the rubber it was. Same turbo. This time I plan to take it to 7-10 PSI.
